Web16 Sep 2024 · The number 5 cylinder intake valve was barely opening at all so I knew it was a lifter/cam issue. Parts were about $600 for a new cam, all 16 lifters, and all new gaskets/seals. Was quoted $4500 for the repair. I did it myself in my driveway over two days in the dead of winter (not too cold here in Virginia).
