Tail light turns off when braking
Web16 Jan 2024 · Thanks - as mentioned above in this post the housing for my outer (since the 01-02 have 4 tail light bulbs) light is actually a 7443 for some odd reason. I do mean tail light, however when the running lights are activated and the tail lights are lit, the bulb only goes dark when I hit the brake. Either way, I'm going to attempt to fix this ... When lights stay on at shut down, the radio is off. Also, noticed today that the gauge lights remain on as well.

Web10 May 2024 · The brake switch is most likely bad as solar has said above. You are correct, there is a clutch switch as well that will turn off the cruise control. I'm confident that I've replaced it correctly, I successfully unseated and replaced the tail light and indicator lights, so brake light should be no different.
